ORGANIZATIONAL BACKROUND

LIFELINE was founded on 2014 by group of social activists, who came together to develop and upgrading Sri Lankans community in all rural & city realized the necessity of establishment means of contributing to their community needs in respond to a country wise formation of voluntary institution by various community group most of them were youth group.

VISION

To ensure where a Sri Lankans people are living friendly environment and sanitation, access to basic education and access to humanitarian basic needs.

MISSION

To improve and upgrade Sri Lankans communities in both urban and rural through community based advocacy in areas of education, environment and sanitation in whole region.

What we do?

We engage in disaster risk reduction and response in the following Sectors:

SECTORAL AREAS OF INTERVENTION AND PRIORITY PROGRAMS

ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT

Recently the environment of the world is in danger and there is what called Air-pollution, cutting trees and social erosions.

NON-FORMAL EDUCATION

The aim of this department is to take part education development in our country and also educate both women and men those did not get a chance for formal education (those who drops schooling in the middle).

HEALTH DEPARTMENT

This activity involves in the improvement of sanitation and health awareness through resources mobilization, advocacy for positive social change and rural development.

FOOD FOR SCHOOL

Programs that help stabilize households by providing food support, such as food stamps and programs for free school breakfast and lunch.

PERMANENT SHELTER

Supporting Permanent housing safe and stable housing environments with voluntary and flexible provisions and services to help people to live peacefully.
